Most of our furniture at Fredericia is crafted from wood, a

material appreciated for its inherent beauty and ability to

age with grace over time. Wood is a natural material that is

a vital part of the world’s eco system. So we see it as our

duty when working with wood to create functional designs.

Honouring the time it takes to grow an oak tree – about 150

years or more.

We insist on using a premium selection of wood from

responsible and renewable European forests, sourced locally

to help reduce the environmental impact from transportation

and forest felling. Fredericia is a FSC

®

certified manufacturer

(License Number: FSC 151292). Our preferred wood is

European oak, which is a strong wood native to Danish

forests with a light appearance and a lovely patina that will

emerge over time.
