Il Cielo era maschile e conteneva l'Acqua. La terra era femminile e nelle sue

viscere era contenuto il Fuoco. La Vita nacque per l’ iniziativa del Cielo, che un

giorno inviò la sua Acqua sulla superficie della Terra. La Terra accolse così la prima

Pioggia, che fece germogliare le piante. Alcune si trasformarono in animali, altre

in uomini. Il Cielo e la Terra, messi in contatto dalla Pioggia fecero scoppiare il

Fulmine, che scaten

ò l'impulso primordiale, mettendo in perpetuo movimento

il Cielo e la Terra stessi, l'Acqua ed il Fuoco, che l'uno e l'altra contenevano.

Da quei tempi immemorabili, prolungando la potenza del fuoco, i nostri

antenati hanno imparato a far scaturire il Fuoco dalla pietra e dal legno secco...
