Return to nature

Testing and fine-tuning our technology has now enabled us to

integrate biodegradable plastic as a binder material in our Matek

TM

production. This new Matek

TM

variant consists entirely of natural

resources and can eventually decompose back into nature.

Biodegradable plastic is made using renewable resources instead of fossil fuels

like conventional plastic. In our case, we use sugarcane as the key ingredient.

The juice extracted from the sugarcane serves as a vital component in producing

this type of biodegradable plastic. Every part of the sugarcane plant is utilised,

after extracting the juice, the dried leaves are used as fuel to heat and ferment

the sugarcane juice, an essential step in making our biodegradable plastic. This

sustainable approach minimizes waste and reduces our environmental footprint.

Furthermore, sugarcane is a rapidly renewable resource that thrives in warm

climates. It absorbs carbon dioxide while growing and can be harvested 1-2 times

a year without the need for artificial irrigation.

The biodegradable MatekTM variant has the same exceptional qualities as other

MatekTM variants - it is a highly durable and water-repellent material.
