The Dakar Arena

This multipurpose sports hall with a seating capacity

of 15,000 is the home of Senegal’s men’s and women’s

national basketball teams. Sunshade ‘leaves’ in

Senegalese colours taper in size as they rise along the

exterior, whilst the parabolic seating indoors enables

universal access and uninterrupted views from every

seat. Dakar Arena is as much an urban plaza as an event

space for the locals.
