Inspired by the vision of the American artist Donald Judd, Ludovica+Roberto

Palomba bring together iconic appeal and functionality in a heating object representing

further exploration in the type-based research that characterises the Studio’s

partnership with Tubes.

Two Js outline the minimalist shape of a heating item of décor designed to elevate

your bathroom routine to a spa-like experience. JJ is an accessorised shelf, which works

as a both a towel warmer and a towel rail, offering a pampering of well-being after a shower

or bath: the blissful delight of wrapping yourself in a warm and dry towel.

Switching on and off can also be controlled remotely using home automation or

programmed via a wireless or wi-fi thermostat. Thanks to its low voltage (24 Volts), this

electrical heating object can also be placed in wet areas such as in a walk-in shower or

above a bathtub, where it enhances the architectural appeal of the space.

Its applications are not limited to the residential sector, but extend to other worlds

such as the Hospitality, Wellness and Nautical industries, where JJ becomes a useful

support surface for organising space and heating hand towels and bath towels, improving

the comfort of guests.

The models in the catalogue are available in three sizes and power ratings and in

various configurations to meet day-to-day needs that change according to the person

and cultural uses. The simple shelf, without a towel rail slot, is supplemented with models

with an open or closed slot, on the left or right side, to be customised in one of the finishes

in the Tubes colour chart (with the exception of glossy and wrinkled).

This remarkable functionality is accompanied by an aesthetic beauty and painstaking

care for the smallest details. The fluted surface designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba

delivers a delightful tactile experience and makes JJ equally light and soft to look at,

while the design concept includes environmental friendliness from the onset, thanks

to the choice of recyclable aluminium meaning the product can easily be disposed of

at the end of its life.
