Menu arguably ib kofod larsen’s most iconic design, the u-56 chair was designed in 1956. the carefully crafted piece later became known as the elizabeth chair after queen elizabeth ii purchased a pair during a visit to copenhagen in 1962. its gently curved armrests, sledge-like frame and reclining comfort make it an outstanding example of danish modern furniture design.
